WOMAN OF AFRICA-MODEL RACE

SEASON 1

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 

Woman of Africa-Model race is the hit reality series that gives everyday people across the African Continent the opportunity to compete for a grand prize which includes a modeling contract with a top agency or management company. Some of the fashion world's most well-known experts will judge these participants, including Model trainer and Pageant director Katongole William Victor akaVictor Williamz, Kiganda Steven, a fashion show producer and backstage manager, Asiimwe James a Rnway Coach, Tyra Becky Atuhairwe a model trainer and consultant, professional fashion designers, photographers, supermodels and manymore.   

Producers of the Series will conduct a continental search to find approximately nine to fourteen top contenders who will compete for the coveted grand prize and have the dream of a lifetime come true. Over a period of several weeks, the lucky participants will go through intensive training in the modeling field. They will be trained by some of the top modeling experts in the world...experts who will teach them about fashion, runway skills, physical fitness and publicity. During this entire time, the participants will live under one roof in a house or loft that is equipped with cameras and microphones to record their every move, 24-hours a day, and 7-days a week. Top finalists will proceed to an international destination(Country,state, Island, Kingdom) that will be decided on by the producers, where they will spend 1 to 2 weeks doing several activities in the series, and finally announce the winner from there.

In addition, the participants will be evaluated on a regular basis by an elite panel of judges led by VICTOR WILLIAMZ. These judges, which will include high profile fashion industry gurus, will narrow the field week-to-week until one lucky winner will be chosen...a winner who will become WOMAN OF AFRICA

 

Please note: the following eligibility requirements and terms must be met in order to proceed with the application process for WOA (the “Series”).

1. Participants are welcome to submit new applications for the current season.

2. There will be continental open casting calls which, if they occur, are tentatively scheduled during March 2018 and into early April 2018. The Casting Team (Agents) for Woman of Africa-Model race will be present to do interviews at various locations (locations subject to further additions and deletions and other changes). We shall be accepting, online video submissions, USB Flash Drive submissions sent to our agents and you can contact us directly at our Casting Face book page (https://www.facebook.com/womanofafrica-modelrace), to get more audition information.

 

If the producers of the Series (the “Producers”) elect to have a semi-final round, and you are selected for an interview in the Semi-Finals, you must be willing to travel at your own expense to a location (to be determined) in your region of your country. The Producers reserve the right to add, cancel and/or substitute other cities as interview locations for the Semi-Finals. If you are selected by the Producers for an interview during the final selection process, you must be willing to travel to UGANDA for approximately one week (as scheduled by the Producers) as part of the final selection process. The exact date of such interviews may be changed at any time by Producers in their sole discretion. Economy travel (roundtrip to UGANDA from a major airport nearest your home in your country) and hotel accommodations (room and tax only excluding all incidental or other charges) will be arranged and paid for by the Producers. At some circumstances, You will also receive a per diem allowance in an amount to be determined by the Producers. Your schedule while in UGANDA will be entirely at the Producers’ sole discretion. All dates and locations listed in these eligibility requirements and in the application form are subject to change in the Producers’ sole discretion without notice.

3. If selected as a participant, you must be willing to live in a house or loft located at a location and in a city as determined by Producers (the “house”) for approximately one and a half months sometime with approximately nine to fourteen other strangers, where you will have little or no privacy. Economy travel to and from the production location and a major airport nearest your home in Your Country will be arranged and paid for by the Producers for participants to travel to the house.

4. If you are chosen to be a participant, it is your responsibility to make any necessary arrangements with your employer and family in anticipation of your extended absence from home. Finalists must hold a current National passport, as international travel may be required of all participants.

5. The house is extensively outfitted with video and audio recording devices which will record, broadcast and exhibit your actions and voice at all times, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in every room of the house as well as any and all locations and settings outside of the house for the duration of your participation in the Series. You will be observed at all times by the Producers as well as the general public watching on television and possibly the Internet.

6. The winner of the Series will be eligible to receive the grand-prize that will include a modeling contract. Producers have the sole discretion to adjust prizes without notice.

7. You must be 18 to 30 years of age at the time of application.

8. Important note: Producers have removed the height requirement for all models on this cycle; however Producers reserve the right to change this at any time, including returning to a height requirement. Participants should be all female,

9. You must be a citizen of the country you represent and live in there. Producers reserve the right to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

10. We reserve the right to accept any candidate with any amount of experience. Producers reserve the right to make any exceptions. Additionally, if you are currently represented by an agent or manager and are selected to be interviewed for the Series, you must provide sufficient evidence to the Producers that such representation is non-exclusive and nothing will prevent you from fully accepting any modeling contract prize or performing the obligations of such prize. Producers reserve the right to require you to terminate such representation. If selected to participate in the Series, you must terminate, prior to your participation, any representation which conflicts with the terms of your participation, but you may be asked to terminate such representation before final decisions are made on the final group of participants or you may be asked to make such other arrangements that will allow you, in Producers’ sole discretion, to participate in the Series. Producers, KWILLZ FRATERNITY UG LTD, and any entity or person related to the Series is not responsible or liable in connection with any termination of such representation by an agent or manager or other representative and you terminate such relationships at your own risk.

11. You must not now be a candidate for public office, and if selected as a participant, you must agree not to become a candidate for public office until after the initial broadcast of all programs in which you appear.

12. You must be in excellent physical and mental health.

13. You understand and agree that you may be required to pose and be photographed or videotaped while clothed, or partially clothed.

14. If you are selected to be interviewed, you will be given, and must complete and return (prior to the date of your personal interview in UGANDA) a Medical History Form.

15. If selected as a finalist you must complete a participant package, which will be furnished to you by the Producers and will include among other things, release forms and waivers for you and your immediate family. If selected for interviews, you must also submit to physical and mental examinations by medical professional(s) in UGANDA selected by the Producers and meet all physical and psychological requirements.

16. By applying for participation in the show, you authorize the Producers to conduct civil, criminal, financial, driver-history and any other type of background checks deemed necessary by the Producers.

17. Employees, officers, directors and agents of KWILLZ FRATERNITY UG LTD, Woman of Africa-Model race,  The Broadcasting television network, and/or of any of their respective licensees, assigns, partners, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents are not eligible to be participants in the Series or participate in the application process.

18. Have you or any person you know ever been (in the past as opposed to now) an employee, agent or representative of the above in (17) or any of their licensees, assigns, parents, affiliates or subsidiaries? If yes, please give relevant details.

19.  Applicants will be chosen from across the AFRICA for an approximate total of nine to fourteen finalists and possibly two alternates. The Producers reserve the right to change any of the eligibility requirements and terms, including the terms of any prizes to be awarded, at any time and without notice.

20. The Producers are looking for a dynamic group of individuals who are articulate, interesting and exhibit enthusiasm for the Series as well as a willingness to share their most private thoughts in an open forum of strangers. This group of individuals, while meeting the technical requirements of the Series, must also have sufficient physical, psychological, and mental capacity to endure approximately two months in a monitored house under extraordinary conditions.

21. Applications MUST be written clearly or typed and MUST be accompanied by a video and three (3) current photos of you. Please follow these guidelines and requirements: · Length: Maximum length is three (3) minutes. Anything over three (3) minutes will not be considered.

  • Format: Please save your video and photos onto a USB flash drive (which will not be returned to you)

  • Content: Tell us who you are and why you would make the ultimate Woman of Africa.                            Be creative! Part of your video should at least include you showing us your best runway walk.

No Music: Please do not include any music in your audition tape

 

DEADLINE: There is a rolling application deadline for individual video submissions, but we urge and encourage you to send in your submissions as soon as possible. The Producers may determine that the casting period is closed at any time in their sole discretion, without advance notice to you.

22. All materials you send us (including USB Flash Drive and photos) will be retained by the Producers and become the property of the Producers and will not be returned to you whether or not you are selected as a participant. Any expenses you incur during the application process including postage, shipping and materials preparation (USB Flash Drive, photos, etc.) are your sole responsibility. The Producers will not reimburse you for these expenses. Only one application per person is allowed. All decisions of the Producers are final and absolute and not subject to inquiry or appeal.

23. Applications will only be considered if they are complete. You have the option of applying in any of the following ways:

(a) Complete the application package as described here and in the application and send the entire completed application package to the Producers at the address below; or

(b) Complete the written portion of the application package as described below and bring it to any of the open calls that will be listed on www.woamodelrace.com when the locations are made available

NOTE: If you choose not to send in a completed application package, you MUST bring the completed and signed written portion of the application package to an open call. Regardless of whether or not you send a completed application package to Producers, if you choose to attend an open call, you must bring to the open call the written portion of the application package completed and signed. Otherwise, you will not be permitted to audition at the open call.

Complete applications that are sent to Producers shall consist of the following:

  • Completed Participant Application (including a Release and Waiver signed by you).

  • Three-minute USB Flash Drive labeled clearly with your name and the code corresponding with the location nearest you. Part of your video should at least include you showing us your best runway walk.

  • Three photographs of yourself, each clearly labeled on the back with your name and the code corresponding with the location nearest you. One must be a close-up of your face, the second must be a full-length photograph of your entire (clothed) body, and the third must be a full-length photograph of you wearing a swimsuit, and one of these three photographs may be in black and white. Please note that the Producers are looking for a variety of models including plus size models. Polaroids are acceptable as long as you are clearly visible.

  • Legible copies of your: 1) National passport; OR 2) social security card and alternatively birth certificate

24. Send your completed application and USB Flash Drive submission to the following address. Producers will be accepting completed applications and USB Flash Drive submissions now through and including deadline listed above, it being understood that such dates may be changed at any time without notice in the Producers' sole discretion:

25. We will verify you that we have received your application. If you like, you may wish to send your application package via an expedited courier (such as UPS). They will provide a tracking number that you can use to verify the receipt of your package. The Producers are not responsible for lost applications.

26. If you are selected for the Semi-Finals, you will be so advised by the Producers shortly before the Semi-Finals (if any) are scheduled. If you are selected to participate in the final selection process, you will be so advised by the Producers shortly before the final selection process is scheduled.

27. We reserve the right to make changes to the application and production schedule. If you are selected to be a participant, we will endeavor to give you at least one week's notice prior to your move-in day into the house.

28. The Producers reserve the right to not hold any participant applicant interviews, or to modify the manner in which it conducts such interviews, or to not produce the Series at all.

Woman of Africa-Model race est la série de télé-réalité à succès qui donne aux gens du continent africain l'opportunité de concourir pour un grand prix qui comprend un contrat de modélisation avec une agence ou une société de gestion. De plus, les participants seront évalués régulièrement par un jury d'élite dirigé par VICTOR WILLIAMZ. Si les producteurs de la série (les «producteurs») choisissent d'avoir une demi-finale et que vous êtes sélectionné pour une entrevue en demi-finale, vous devez être prêt à voyager à vos frais vers un lieu (à déterminé) dans votre région de votre pays. Les producteurs se réservent le droit d'ajouter, d'annuler et / ou de remplacer d'autres villes comme lieux d'entrevue pour les demi-finales. Si vous êtes sélectionné par les producteurs pour un entretien lors du processus de sélection final, vous devez être prêt à vous rendre à l'OUGANDA pendant environ une semaine (comme prévu par les producteurs) dans le cadre du processus de sélection final. La date exacte de ces entretiens peut être modifiée à tout moment par les producteurs à leur seule discrétion. Les voyages en classe économique (aller-retour en UGANDA depuis l'aéroport le plus proche de votre domicile dans votre pays) et l'hébergement (chambre et taxes excluant tous les frais accessoires ou autres) seront organisés et payés par les producteurs. Dans certaines circonstances, vous recevrez également une indemnité quotidienne d'un montant qui sera déterminé par les producteurs. Votre programme en Ouganda sera entièrement à la seule discrétion des producteurs. Toutes les dates et tous les lieux énumérés dans les présentes conditions d'admissibilité et dans le formulaire de demande peuvent être modifiés à la seule discrétion des producteurs, sans préavis.

3. Si vous êtes sélectionné comme participant, vous devez être prêt à vivre dans une maison ou un loft situé à un endroit et dans une ville tel que déterminé par les producteurs (la «maison») pendant environ un mois et demi parfois entre neuf et quatorze ans. d'autres étrangers, où vous aurez peu ou pas d'intimité. Les voyages économiques vers et depuis le lieu de production et un aéroport majeur près de chez vous dans votre pays seront organisés et payés par les producteurs pour que les participants puissent se rendre à la maison.

4. Si vous êtes choisi comme participant, il est de votre responsabilité de prendre les dispositions nécessaires avec votre employeur et votre famille en prévision de votre absence prolongée de la maison. Les finalistes doivent détenir un passeport national en cours de validité, car un voyage international peut être exigé de tous les participants.
