efficient, hard-working, good at taking directions and capable of
wearing all types of clothing styles. Originally from Ghana I was born in
Berlin Germany on the 9th Of March 1984 and resettled in Ghana
during my teen years.
Objective :To work in a fashion firm, in which I can utilize my modeling
skills to become a perfect link between the brands and their clients.

Angella Katatumba

Angella Franklin Katatumba, a Ugandan by nationality was born on February 21st in Nairobi Kenya.

 

She is the daughter of the Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Uganda, H.E Dr. Boney Katatumba and Gertrude Katatumba the proprietor AFK Beauty Clinic Kabalagala. Angella has a sister and seven brothers; Rosemary, Allan, Dennis, Rugiirwa (Angella’s Twin brother), Colin (the late), Ken, Ian and Jay.

                

She went to primary education in Uganda at the Katatumba Academy, from 1986 to 1994 then went to Belmont Senior Secondary School from 1994 -1996 in Vancouver, B.C, and Canada, where she obtained a Public Relations Diploma. She then went to Oxford Brookes University, England where she got Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Law from 1996-1999. Also at Oxford Brookes University, England she continued on to obtain a Masters in International Management / Public Relations in 1999 - 2000.

 

After university in England, Angella moved to Chicago, Illinois in the US, where she had several well paying and prestigious jobs in the hospitality industry. She worked at; Buca Di Beppo Restaurant from 2001 - 2002, Isaac Hayes Restaurant in 2002 - 2003 also in Chicago and at Majestic Star Casino from 2003 - 2004 in Chicago Illinois, USA where she was earning up to almost $100,000 USD per year with bonuses.

                            

When Angella moved back home to Uganda in 2005, she started working as the Managing Director at her father H.E Dr. Boney Katatumba’s Hotel called Hotel Diplomate in Kampala, Uganda. Angella is currently the Managing Director of the hotel.

 

Angella in 2005 also started to professionally record her music in Uganda. So far she has recorded two albums and is working on her third. Angella has made singing in English a priority since she started singing in Uganda; this is because she has always had the global market in mind and mostly because of her western upbringing.

 

The First album is titled PEACE (a 10 track album with songs like: For You Gulu, Peace - a duet with Butcherman, Sikyettagga - a duet with Bebe Cool, I live For You, Let Me, I surrender, One Minute Man a duet with Bebe Cool, Success, Standing in the Rain and I Live For You Remix.

 

The Second album is titled Glad I'm Alive, a 10 Track Album with song's like Feel Alright a duet with Navio, Glad I'm Alive, Thank You, The Pledge, Without You, Wind Beneath Your Wings, A Better Place a duet with First Love, Forgivenes, Ngenze Noono and Gwenjagala.

 

The Third Album is titled Supernatural Girl. It so far has songs like Together Forever, Let’s Go Green a duet with Keko, In the Air a duet with Keko, Only You, So Close and Supernatural Girl, Mulago Yaffe, The Struggle ft NTO, So Painful ft NTO and Multiply By 2 ft Radio and Weasel.

 

In addition to music, in 2006 to present, Angella started an NGO called the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation which is the umbrella of two of Angella’s current projects.

 

The first is her extremely successful For You Gulu Project. The For You Gulu project’s intention is through her music to raise awareness about the plight in Northern Uganda after the 21 year old war ended and to collect anything in kind to help the people of the war torn regions. After the massive success of her For You Gulu project, Angella, under her foundation continues to raise awareness for the suffering people in Uganda and eventually Africa.

 

The second project is Angella’s “Let’s Go Green campaign”. After the tremendous success of Angella’s For You Gulu project, in 2010 the British Council commissioned Angella and appointed her the International Climate Change Icon in Uganda 2010-2011. Her purpose was to spearhead again, through her music the awareness of climate change in Uganda. This project has also been extremely successful and has seen Angella globe trot to different parts of the world, among other places she went to Cancun Mexico where she attended the Global Climate Change summit and also performed for heads of states and other dignitaries her Let’s Go Green song, which was being used as one of the theme songs at a number of events at the global climate change summit. She also goes to the villages in Uganda and especially in schools to teach about climate change.

 

The third project is Angella’s Supernatural Girl Campaign. This project that was inspired by the success of her Supernatural Girl song that is about domestic violence,

 

The Fourth project is Angella's "Mulago Yaffe". This project is to create awareness of the poor situation at Mulago National Referral Hospital and to help in any way we can by collecting from donors and donating necessary items to the hospital and patients.

 

 

On January 15th 2016, Angella Katatumba personally donated 10M UGX to the Special Care Unit under the Mulago Yaffe project. The money was used to buy a photherapy machine and syringe pump. 

 

On July 01st 2016, Angella Katatumba held her 1st concert that was extremely successful at the Kampala Serena Hotel and she donated 15 Million UGX of the proceeds collected to the Uganda Cancer Institute.

Angella has so far with God’s grace achieved a number of things;

 

 

Achievements:

INVITED TO ATTEND AND PERFORM AT THE 4TH ANNUAL AFRICAN UNION HUMANITARIAN SYMPOSIUM IN NAIROBI on 28TH November - 01st December, 2016.

 

INVITED BY THE OFFICE OF THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL BAN KI-MOON to attend and perform at the first ever world humanitarian summit in Istanbul, turkey on 24th May, 2016.

 

SELECTED BY THE HIGH COMMISSION FOR THE REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO ON AUG 31ST 2012 – To sing both the national Anthems of Uganda and Trinidad and Tobago to mark the 50th Anniversary of Independence of Trinidad and Tobago.

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ON MAY 12TH 2011- Chose Angella to make history by being the first artist to ever accompany the police, army and prisons bands by singing the Uganda National Anthem for the first time ever in front of 13 heads of state.

YVONNE CHERRY MONALISA

Yvonne Cherry famously known as Monalisa, is an award-winning actress based
in Tanzania. Her debut came about in the late 90’s as she featured in the popular TV
series of the time “Mambo Hayo”. She then continued establishing herself as a potential
ally in the local Film and TV Industry and in 2001 she took on the supporting role in
what is considered to be the first commercially successful film in Tanzania, Girlfriend.
This was her breakthrough moment where by after the film she continued to appear in a
number of local and international films, TV & Radio Drama and commercials for
Heineken, Assas Diary and Comfy. From MFDI’s Siri ya Mtungi TV Series, to being a
judge in a TV Reality Talents Competition Show TMT, to Honeymoon Aljabri’s
Daddy’s Wedding, Monalisa is well thought out as the transnational star and most
successful actress in Tanzania and East Africa. She also featured on a number of literary
stage plays and famous theatres in East Africa. Playing lead and supporting roles for
Kiu and A man of the People at Kenya National Theatre, Song of Lawino and Ocol at Little
Theatre, Government Inspector at Russian Cultural center, Zawadi ya Ushindi at

Bagamoyo Arts Training Institute (TASUBA) and the famous Mrs. Lucy Goes to Africa
which was co-produced by an American based producer-actress. Monalisa plays also
voice over characters and her recent roles include playing Hurrem Sultana in the
famous TV Drama Series Sultan as well as Kritika in Jamal Raja. Both these TV Drama
have earned her a household name and a great following among East Africans and those
based on the diaspora. Being a multi-talented Monalisa has stepped onto TV Hosting
and Radio Announcing as well. Since the beginning of her career she has managed to
host from Bongo Movie, Jackpot Bingo, the very recent Mr Tanzania 2017 Reality TV
Show to Chombeza Time and Filamonata radio show. She lately hosted the 2018 African
Film Festival Awards Night in America. She is currently hosting a betting show; Super
5 and she is set to run and produce a program that she titled as Act with Monalisa aimed
at showcasing and professionally empowering the untapped screen-acting talents
among young girls in Tanzania. Monalisa has been commended to garner awards to
her name as well including the 2018 Best Female Movie Star Africa presented to her by
The African Prestigious Awards (APA) in Ghana, ZIFF 2010 (Best Actress for the film
Black Sunday); Bab Kubwa Magazine voted her Best Actress of All time in 2008.
Monalisa, who speaks fluently English and Swahili, is the mother of three beautiful kids
and that does not keep her from putting on a lot of efforts and dedication towards
finding the depth of characters and playing her role outstandingly. At the age of 35 she
is absolutely a force to reckon with on stage, radio, TV and Film entertainment.

Renowned, celebrated philanthropist and socialite Judith Heard came back home from New York US where she
had been on her Internationalmodelling career endouvers.
This time she was missioned on a national cause entitled 'Social Media Revolution'
Heard had realised the growing use of socialmedia platforms like facebook, instagram and twitter backed by the
recent taxation 'hullabaloo' and decided to elevate it this way.
It happened on August 18th 2018 6PM at Sky Lounge situated in Kisementi,
the highly anticipated social event hosted a podium of delegates from Uganda Communications Commission
(UCC), themedia, Digital Influencers and high profile people as key speakers on the evening.
It was a fun-get-together hosting a catalogue of social media influences who shared their achievements and a
few guidelines to the right usage of social media.
After that, the throng was treated into an entertainment extraganza headlined by sizzling acts of Rwanda's
sensational Marina, Papa Cidy, Dr Jose Chameleon, Kemishan DJ, Dj Roger & Stuart, Navio, Fefe Bussi and
many city DJs.

NANCY MUGGA KITAKA

She is a UgandanUK Based who has gone on to Excel as the Best International gandan Female Hostess. She is the CEO of Jewel of Nile International Charity Beauty Pageant. She is also a Registered Nurse, a Sexual Health Activist, Registered member of Amnesty International and AWARD Winner as a Humanitarian for African Women in Europe.

IRENE NAKITENDE

My Name is Nakitende Irene Kakonge. Age 22. Studied at Seeta High School for my High school and the Makerere University perusing a bachalors in Social Work and Social Administration. 

I am the Founder of African Grasstop Secrets Ltd and African Secrets Magazine a Travel and lifestyle magazine distributed in Kenya and Uganda. To promote tourism and culture. The then Minister of Tourism Endorsed and launched the magazine in 2015. When I was in my vacation. And it is since then opened big opportunities for Youths I work with like models,Graphic designers, writers etc and different business especially those in tourism. 

I was lucky to be nominated and emerge winner of the ekkula pearl of Africa tourism awards in specific young tourism Achiever of the year 16/17

 

We have also worked on a couple of other magazines on contracts . Of these include pageant magazines like Miss Tourism Uganda magazines 2015-2016 and 2018-19

Through African Secrets, we have started a charity organization called Voluntours that is to help remote communities around tourist attractions appreciate tourism and nature hence conserving for example one of our biggest was in Karamoja this year to schools around Kidepo Valley National game park.

Through the magazine, African Grasstop Secrets Ltd as a Company has started a tents renting business to provide temporary accommodation to tourist and on events.
